James Robertson recently got in contact with me, and told me about Bryan Talbot's new "Director's Cut" of Heart of Empire. Bryan Talbot is the man behind the brilliant Alice in Sunderland, and Heart of Empire.
This new package is a CD, and contains the whole of the Heart of Empire graphic novel in its final printed full colour format together with every page in it’s pencilled and inked forms - as well as the entire Adventures of Luther Arkwright. That's a heck of a lot, especially when you consider there are also over 60,000 words of annotations included alongside it. Chuck in a few other illustrations and sketches and notes, and it sounds like a brilliant package.
If you are interested, take a look at the free version of chapter 1. And marvel at the huge amount of stuff available in just the first chapter! Free Sample Here.
If you want to purchase a copy, it's only £15 including P&P, so head on over to: Bryan Talbot Emporium.

Hey everyone,
Just added a review of the Collected Edition of {ln:Tales From The Flat}! It's a great package from a great series made by a great couple of guys, and I urge you to check out the review and subsequently buy a copy of the book.
I've also recently added {ln:Mathew J Pallet} to the Creators section of the website, he has some great manga influenced comics available.
Within the next few weeks there will be a bunch more reviews and Creators popping up on the site (Vampire Freestyle, more from {ln:Bridgeen Gillespie}, {ln:David Baillie} and much more!), so keep checking back up on the website!
Last, but not least, is the London Horror Comic. Writer John-Paul sent me a preview copy to take a look at, and it's looking fantastic. 32 full colour gorgeous pages for a fair $3.99. It boasts some great talent, and I really hope it does well. The little horror will be released to the world in January, so look out for it then. A full review of the comic will be up early next year!

BORDERLINERS
‘Ceremony Of Innocence’
Written & drawn by Brian Gorman
SALFORD ARTIST LAUNCHES DEBUT COMIC BOOK
Salford-based writer & artist BRIAN GORMAN is preparing to launch an online version of a brand new comic book in the new year. ‘BORDERLINERS – Ceremony Of Innocence’ is a one-off ‘pilot’ to introduce a fast-moving 21st century espionage tale with more than a nod to TV’s ‘Spooks’ and the Jason Bourne movie franchise, not to mention the mind-bending sci-fi stories of Philip K Dick (‘Blade Runner’, ‘Total Recall’, ‘Minority Report’, etc). The intention is to showcase the work on a variety of websites in order to gather positive comments before launching into print. The grittily realistic tale of double-crossed government agents fighting to recover their sanity, and hit back against a corrupt department of M.I.5 was started more than a decade ago. Gorman remembers:
“Back in Wigan, my hometown, I was visiting my writer friend Chris Harvey when
we started chatting about some of our favourite TV shows. We’d always loved ‘The
Champions’, ‘The New Avengers’ and ‘The Professionals’, and we were trying to
think of a new twist we could bring to them. We then had the idea of exploring
the agents’ home lives. Just what DID they do between missions? How did they
cope with the stresses of putting their lives on the line all the time? Then it hit
us – what if they DID have a normal, everyday life BUT it was all fabricated in
order to keep them sane and in line?”
